Anthropic is rolling out a system that allows AI agents to control lab devices and autonomously carry out medical experiments.
Their researchers state that its new Hardware Standard can reduce this process to minutes by giving the lab devices a common language.
According to Anthropic this feature lets its agents orchestrate complex experimental processes across multiple instruments much as a scientist would.
It is an impressive process, but how is safety ensured conducting the experiment? That is probably why Anthropic is initially releasing the new hardware standard only to a small number of partners.
